- Comments: "Continuing at the lake. Today, across from wide culvert in reeds, catching blue dasher dragonflies. stands very still on planted legs, craning its neck and slowly turning its head side to side tracking the flies. occasionally takes a drink or stabs the water."

- Comments: "Continuing warm brown on top medium-sized heron, with brown-and-white stripes on underside visible in reeds at NE part of lagoon, south side. Mostly pointing beak upward but did move around and actually flew up higher in the reeds. Observed twice this evening. The second time I saw the bittern, it was also observed by another birder. Visible for at least half an hour."
