Regarding Peregrines hunting over the sea, my wife and I followed and
photographed a Peregrine from just off of Point Conception all the way to
the Island of Hawaii. It picked up a fish and carried it along on one of
the days. Luckily it didn't notice our hitchhiking Pacific Golden-Plover
that joined us midway on the trip.
