Dodo (Raphus cucullatus) (1)
- Reported Oct 10, 2025 16:08 by Noah Arthur
- Oceano County Park, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-120.6255312&<ll...>,-120.6255312 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S278433453 - Comments: "I’m just putting this here temporarily to trip a filter and get attention… I saw what may have been an Old World warbler this evening in the low willows by the lagoon along Guiton Trail just north of Pier Ave, by the campground. Here’s the coordinates: (35.1071319, -120.6264067). My views were bad and brief, but left me very intrigued. It was a small but not tiny passerine, patterned like a Bewick’s Wren including a similarly prominent supercilium; but shaped like a warbler, with a shorter tail and seemingly longer body than a Bewick’s. I thought the shape most resembled COYE or OCWA. I hope someone can follow up on this tomorrow! I bitterly regret not being faster with the binocs and camera."
