Doh! I meant to write Palm Warbler, not Northern Waterthrush.

I was sad to find what must be the same vireo I found in my backyard on
Tuesday afternoon (https://ebird.org/checklist/S277903859) dead outside my
front door this morning. I assume the bird hit something and died because
the body and plumage is in very good shape
(https://www.flickr.com/photos/tedell/54845643496/in/datetaken-public/)

Earlier the same afternoon that the vireo appeared I also photographed a
Northern Waterthrush at my water feature
(https://ebird.org/checklist/S277877147). Yesterday afternoon, a Virginia's
Warbler made a brief visit to the water feature. All three birds showed up
between 4:30-5:15 PM.

My yard is small and there is a tall Monterey cypress in one neighbor's year
and a tall hedge in another neighbor's yard. I have a suet feeder and a
syrup feeder in my yard along with a water feature. Not the most attractive
yard for birds, but it helps to be right on the coast in fall and have a
running water feature.
