Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Least Flycatcher
Several people were there this morning at FRNC. The bird was heard by a couple of people past the committal shelter down by the fence in the right hand large ficus (32.685706, -117.242871). After waiting a while it was then seen briefly by a couple of people as well. It stayed well up in the ficus, buried in the dark part of the tree behind multiple small branches preening. Then it swiftly moved and was not seen again. It never called again after that one time. It was possibly a bird that dropped from the tree down the hill was the Least from the way it looked and flew. Everyone left around 8 after waiting with no success.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
