A few observations of interest from Point Reyes yesterday: Snow Goose - continuing at Mendoza Ranch pond with Mallards and Canada Geese Vaux's Swifts - 17 flying in off the ocean over the Lighthouse mid-day Wilson's Snipe - flushed two out of dry pasture above Nunes Pigeon Guillemot - two birds in basic lingering off the Lighthouse Burrowing Owl - out in the pastures of the Spaletta Ranch Western Wood-pewee - a getting late migrant was in the Lighthouse cypresses mid-day Barn Swallows - 6 flew out from the Lighthouse headed toward the ocean mid-day Swainson's Thrush - Nunes thicket Catharus sp. - a thrush was being chased by a Kestrel over open pasture of the Spalleta ranch around 10 a.m. Grasshopper Sparrow - in the willow patch below the Spaletta main ranch pond MAGNOLIA WARBLER - hatch year bird feeding in the lupines below the LIghthouse residence mid day Palm Warbler - actively migrating mid-morning past Junior Mendoza flying in from direction of the ranch and dropping into the cypresses briefly Western Tanager - Lighthouse Cypresses Dominik Mosur San Francisco -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
