Observers:
Visitors:
Besides Carlos, Gary Smith was interested in what I was doing and I talked
"hawks" with him

Weather:
Surprisingly, although the day started out with moderate (2) SW winds and
were predicted to be SW all day, within the hour the winds shifted to the
NW and stayed that way most of the day. Except for one time late in the
day when I measured a wind gust of 21 km/hr, all other gusts never exceeded
12 km/hr. Temperature went from 11-20-18°C; Cloud cover was mostly light
cirrus never covering more than 50% of the sky.

Raptor Observations:
Small movement of raptors, all flying at height 1
Non-migrating - a RT and TV were seen

Carlos Felipe observed with me for a couple of hours and spotted the PG

Non-raptor Observations:
Birds -- One Flicker, a Red-breasted Nuthatch (my first of the year here),
a Common Raven, and two Red-winged Blackbirds

Predictions:
Tomorrow's winds will be mostly light from the WSW to WNW. Sunday early
morning the winds will shift to the NNW, but later in the dayshift toward
the east. That's the prediction, but who knows. Today's winds did not go
according to plan. Also, I am still waiting for a larger flight of Osprey.
Five years ago on October 4, 2020, Brian Rusnica saw our all-time high of
40 Osprey and a total of 93 birds when the winds were light from the NNW.
