Weather: Sunny with haze thick enough to make even vultures hard to identify at a distance. Oh for a real cold front! Cloud-cover 10% initially, declining to zero. Wind 2-6 mph, NE at first, then shifting to ENE > E > SE. Temperature mid-70s F. Raptor Observations: Just over two dozen Turkey Vultures migrating, with a Cooper's and a Sharp-shin thrown in. Not counted as migrants: 2-3 other Turkey Vultures, Red-shouldered Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk.
Non-raptor Observations: Northern Flicker, Blue-headed Vireo, Blue Jays (2 migrants), Common Ravens (4), Tufted Titmouse, Red-breasted Nuthatch, House Wren, Ruby-crowned Kinglet (RCKI have been surprisingly scarce thus far this fall).
