Subject: [slocobirding] Swainson's Thrush as YB
Two Swainson's Thrush have arrived for winter. Feeding in and under the fruiting Catalina Cherry  hedgerow and bathing several times daily at the ground drip. Most active when Robins are feeding during Golden hours.

If anyone would like seedling Prunus lyonii, I have hundreds coming up. Scrub Jays are good propagators. The amount of birdlife they attract is astounding--over a long period of two to three months, late summer to deep fall. Evergreen, upright, shrubby, multi-trunked, to 35', can be lightly pruned for fullness. Very drought hardy but will take regular irrigation.
