BIRD FRIENDLY WIND ENERGY
DO IT RIGHT!

There are wind energy advocates who think that birds are not compatible
with wind energy and bird advocates who think wind energy is not
compatible with birds. Fortunately, neither is true. Wind farms can be
done badly or well and on this Eco-Logic, we'll describe the difference
and expose the myths that are used to divide the environmental movement.

Wind-powered electricity is crucial for a safe, sane clean energy
future. Birds are crucial to the balance of nature and healthy
ecosystems. They ARE indeed compatible.

We'll explain lighting and siting that can be used to keep wind-powered
electricity going without killing birds.

Our guest, Lewis Grove, American Bird Conservancy’s Director of Wind &
Energy Policy, will explain what they call "Bird Smart Wind."

This is going to be an exttremely pro-wind as well as pro-nature radio show.

We open the show with news: following up on shrimp issues, remembering
Jane Goodall, World Octopus Day, and a New York fire warning.

Our song for this episode is Jackson 5's “Rockin' Robin”.

Tune in on radio or internet to get more details.
