Visitors:
Among the many hikers, a number were interested in what I was doing and
hawks in general. Among them were rock climbers, Melissa Lilieholm and her
friend; Jim Springer who spotted our one falcon in the blue sky; Mike H.
and his friends, Vik and Amvi, and Cristina Rodriguez and her friends,
Hlejandra, Muskan, Nikhil, Inés, Neeil, and Mireia; and Anastastasia Z.
and her friend. [My apologies if I mispelled your name]

Weather:
Virtually no wind until slightly after 1 PM a light SE breeze arose.
Temperature went from 16-22°C. Cloudless blue sky all day made seeing
birds difficult

Raptor Observations:
Only two probable migrants seen - both disappeared from view as they soared
to height 4, but were presumed to be migrants
Non-migrating -- two Turkey Vultures and one or two Red-tailed Hawks

Non-raptor Observations:
Birds -- Flicker, and my first hummingbird
Monarchs - 1
Dragonflies - 1 unidentified

Predictions:
Both Monday and Tuesday the forecast is for SW winds getting stronger as
the day advances. Southerly winds are not favorable for hawk migration at
this site, so even though the winds will be fairly strong blowing birds
toward the coast, I do not expect that many hawks will be migrating.
Another day of clear blue sky will also not be helpful if there are birds
migrating.
