They are coming! Several sightings in centre county north of us.
In Huntingdon county a couple of reports from Shavers Creek Environmental center and Stone Mountain Hawkwatch.

Yellow-bellied sapsuckers have been here (Northampton County) in the yard or fields for the last 4 or 5 days. Just thought I’d mention that.

I had all of the expected woodpeckers on the walk but no sapsuckers yet. I heard 3 Red-breasted Nuthatches, 1 more than the white but not surprising for that area. Several Eastern Towhees were in residence and an American Robin had a half-hearted song. Sometimes I play a game of reaching a certain goal before I quit and today it was 20. I hadn’t heard a Common Raven yet and I thought I heard a Brown Creeper or Cedar Waxwing but didn’t count them because they weren’t close enough to be sure of. I was about 0.3 miles from the car when bird number #20, Golden-crowned Kinglet, sang above me. Of course, once you reach the goal, more birds pile on and I immediately heard a Common Raven, Gronk Gronk. Where have you been? About the same time I saw movement in the trees near me and there was a Black-throated Blue Warbler wandering quietly in the lower canopy. Getting closer to the car, I heard the sweet singing of a Blue-headed Vireo. Then back at the car a Gray Catbird finally announced itself! 24 species! However, no Red-shouldered Hawks which are usually in the area.
