Subject: [nysbirds-l] Central Park, NYC - Thurs., 10/2 - 20+ Warbler species, etc., + other county-notables
A non-adult-plumaged Red-headed Woodpecker was seen and photographed, as was a Philadelphia Vireo, along with a very good assortment of other migrants and some resident birds on Randalls Island on Thursday, 10-2, by two of the islands Phylloscopus-finders of the past weekend there. That huge-little Arctic Warbler was not re-found after last weekend. A Dickcissel seen and audio-recorded flying onward was noted from Inwood Hill Park in northern Manhattan on Oct. 1st. The lingering Yellow-breasted Chat was ongoing at Number 3 Bryant Park, the small plaza near the actual Bryant Park in mid-Manhattan with still many observers thru Oct. 2nd.

Thanks to leaders of not-for-profit guided bird walks and their participants as well as large numbers of independently-moving birders and photographers on Thursday, for many alerts all via non-x apps and as always, in eBird with the Macaulay Library for archived media in both visual and auditory form.
