observation time: 7.25 hours

Observers:
Visitors:
Tom Cosgrove and Bill Shapiro helped me observe for over an hour

Weather:
Strong (3) NNE winds throughout most of the day with maximum gusts of 25
km/hr and all recorded gusts over 12 km/hr. Temperature -- 11-16-15°C;
Cloud cover -- a bank of cumulus clouds on the SE horizon began to move in
slowly, but then was replaced by patchy cumulus clouds that moved in from
the NE; clouds never covered more than 15% of the sky.

Raptor Observations:
Very few migrants
Non-migrating -- 3 Turkey Vultures and 4 Red-tailed Hawks (an adult, 2
immatures and ?)

Non-raptor Observations:
Birds -- flock of at least 50 Canada Geese (possibly more); 3 Ravens
(including a pair); one Dark-eyed Junco (first of year), and one Grackle

Predictions:
Continued NE winds tomorrow are not favorable, and I probably will not be
on site. Friday begins a couple of days with SW and westerly winds.
Saturday those winds may have a shift to moderate NW winds which would be
even better.
