Weather: Cloudless skies all day; haze, for once, not an issue. Wind NNE shifting to NE, 6-9 mph, becoming E 5 mph during the last hour. Raptor Observations: The first significant movement of Turkey Vultures this season, including one kettle of 16 birds. Otherwise, a low-key day as we pivot away from the Broad-wing migration. Not counted as migrants: 2 Turkey Vultures, adult Bald Eagle, Cooper's Hawk, 2 Red-shouldered Hawks, 2 Red-tailed Hawks. NO COVERAGE 2:00-3:30 PM EDT.
Non-raptor Observations: Canada Geese (105 in two skeins, 45+60), Northern Flicker, Blue Jays (48 migrants), American Crow, Common Raven, Black-capped Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Purple Finch.
