Subject: [CT Birds] Bauer Farm ‘harvest’ - day one
The winds last night were certainly timely and brought some migrating birds to Bauer Farm in Madison.

Several new species were noted, including a first of season Winter Wren, a White-crowned Sparrow and an unexpected Ovenbird, together with numerous Yellow-rumped and Palm Warblers, plus a handful of Indigo Buntings.

In total, I tallied 46 species; not bad for the first day of the community garden harvest challenge! Photos and audio are in my eBird checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S276700696

Some birds also departed; seen just yesterday but missed today were Red-eyed Vireo and Ruby-throated Hummingbird, but the weirdest miss was Mourning Dove; yesterday I had seven and today - zero!
