Subject: [Ohio-birds] Clinton county - big year birding
I hit cowan lake - east fork riparian is the much better migrant passerine spot,
But I was interested in other species besides passerines. Sora is still eluding
Me in Clinton. Sigh…… I finally got the Peregrine. It came through fast. Looked big.
Female? And I got WC sparrow. Two new for the big year. Up to 178. Peregrine
Was new for Clinton. Up to 195 for life! Someday I will hit 200….this year would be
Nice!

I went bushwacking through the shoulder high weeds at the east ponds at Cowan.
Taking my time! No Connecticut…… mainly Tennessees. And sparrows. I am sure
Some interesting species in there. Just really hard birding!

More greater yellowlegs at young rd. I need dows. Hmmmm…….

Butterfly notes - been a lot of late season bugs with this sun and above average
Heat! Loads of pearl crescents today. Etc.

Good birding all.
