Rockville Memorial Library will be hosting a free screening of my documentary “Bird Walk” on Sunday, October 5 at 2 p.m. The 25-minute film features the birds and birders that have flocked to Rockville’s RedGate Park, where more than 170 bird species have been sighted, and follows the grassroots campaign which helped preserve this defunct golf course as a public park and avian oasis. Wayne Breslyn, founder of Friends of RedGate Park, will be joining me for a post-film discussion and audience Q & A. The screening will take place in the second floor meeting room. Rockville Memorial Library is located at Rockville Town Square, 21 Maryland Ave., Rockville, MD. Free garage parking is available for the first 90 minutes.
