Subject: [slocobirding] A few sparrows arrivals in Morro Bay
A few of the expected wintering crowned sparrows (Zonotrichia is a genus) have been returning to our yard with the first Golden-crowned arriving yesterday morning, Sept 28. This is the same FOS arrival date, Sept 28 as last year, 2024. How do they do that?? 🤔

A nice surprise today was the arrival of a Clay-colored Sparrow. The last one seen in our yard was in November, 2022. Time to check out all those little brown birds!

Picture of todays Clay-colored Sparrow is now on flickr. - http://www.flickr.com/photos/kaarenp/
