Migrants are coming through and winter residents arriving.
This past week I had brief but fairly complete look at a new visitor, just outside my office window at a ground drip.
Overall yellowish body, greyish back and wings, with two white wing bars, and a faded mask across the eyes. As it turned around in the bath, a bright gold crown with no black markings present. checking my guides, no such species. Could it beĀ a Lawrence's (cross)?
