Highway 21 is dangerous at any time of the day. I had a full grown doe jump off an embankment onto the hood of my full sized pickup a couple of years ago. I had absolutely no warning and the shoulder of the road on my side was almost nonexistent. This was south of Ozone heading down Woods Mountain. She was killed and my hood had significant damage, but fortunately I was not hurt nor did I run off the road. I never take my eyes off the road while driving that route.

Dear Arbirders,

I hit a deer that jumped out into Hwy 21 south of Kingston the morning of Saturday 9-20-25. Luckily I was completely unhurt. I was driving the speed limit & wearing my seatbelt.

The deer demolished my right front end & because the vehicle was a small, compact 2013 Honda Fit, it looks like the insurance company will total my car. This was a great car. It only had 89,500 miles & it never gave me any kind of trouble in nine years of driving.

Please drive safely & always keep a watchful eye out for deer & other dangers on the road.
