Joan Kent, Carol Rae and I found an Am. Bittern at Lake Los Carneros this morning. It was perched on the reeds on the east side of the channel that goes to the old wooden bridge (approx. 34.443293, -119.849706). We viewed it looking south from the gap in the vegetation overlooking the channel.
