Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Painted Redstart at UCSD, Near “South Parking Structure”
Painted Redstart working high up in mature tipus on grassy patch immediately west of Avery Library, across Biomedical Sciences Way from South Parking structure and to the east of parking lot P610.

I know it’s not terribly convenient for people not presently on campus to bird the campus what with parking and the start of the school year, but figured I would get the word out for those that may be.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
