…the second annual Community Garden Harvest contest!
This is a friendly competition to see which community garden hotspot has the most species for the month of October!
Just bird at your local community garden hotspot any time during the month of October to see how many species you can find. Record your birds in eBird, and be sure to use the hotspot so the birds can be tallied. At the end of each week in October, I will post the total number of species found.
The list of community garden hotspots from last year is below; if your garden is not on the list, please let me know and I will add it.
Participation was good last year and I hope this year even more CT birders will visit these beautiful places and find some great birds!

Fine print: You must use eBird and the hotspot to record your birds. The birds can be seen anywhere within the confines of your hotspot and do NOT need to be seen in the gardens themselves. Birds must be accepted by our eBird reviewers to count. Follow all local rules, regulations and the ABA code of ethics, as always.
