Hardly a surprise for a highly migratory species, but yesterday's flammulated owl at Point Loma Nazarene University is not in its same tipu tree this morning, Sunday. Whether it is still in the area in any one of a thousand trees or large bushes, or is now 150 miles or more south of here is anyone's guess.
A side comment about the nearby Alder Flycatcher the past 2 days at the cemetery. In people's eBird reports they are solely comparing it to a Willow Flycatcher, if they are making a comparison at all. But in many respects, the bird has as many characters similar to a Least Flycatcher as it does a Willow.
