There weretwo Cocos Boobies on today’s trip to the Farallones. The most notable was abird we saw in flight between the bridge and Alcatraz at around 2:30. We had great looks as itheaded south toward the city and then veered east where we lost sight of it. Wecircled Alcatraz but I did not see it there. The boobie on the Farallones wasin its usual spot on Sugarloaf. Most of the breeding birds were gone, we saw nopuffins. Another highlight was the number of Jaegers; most were east of thebridge but there were still quite a few to the west of the bridge. I’d guessaround 20 Parasitic and two Pomarine. Since the trip was wet and splashy I’dput my camara away before we got to the bridge so did not get any photos.Scoping from Fort Point could be productive.
