Subject: Singin' in the Rain
It was a rainy Thursday with intermittent downpours.  During one of these, I saw a hummingbird sitting on a favorite perch near the feeder.  It had its head thrown back, wings up and fluttering, and tail spread out and was thoroughly enjoying the rain.  Cutest thing I've seen in a while. They must really have a good grip.

Even though warbler mania seems to be over, I'm still getting some in late afternoon.  I'm glad I had the good sense to spend so much time observing and photographing them without getting "warbler neck."  It's hard to tell if this was an unusual influx or was it that I took the time to learn their pattern and wait for them. It certainly made for a memorable fall.  I've identified 11 species from my photos sofar.

The Cardinal family continued to put on a show, feeding the two youngsters who are chirping and begging even though capable of feeding themselves.  The dad seems to get harassed the most, but
displays amazing dedication and patience.  Lucky youngsters.
