I had a female plumage oriole at Robb Field this morning that is either an Orchard or Hooded. It was foraging along the western edge of the park about here: 32.752325, -117.244361. It was spending a lot of time in a large Eucalyptus, but also moved south a couple of houses to where there is a bird feeder along the fence line. It appeared to be very small, but was missing its tail, so that might have been misleading. The call notes I heard sounded good for Orchard to me, but the overall color of the bird wasn't as lemon yellow as I expect for Orchard. Perhaps this is due to it being a worn adult. Hopefully it hangs around a while and we can get the ID pinned down. Take a look if you are out that way!
