Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Alder Flycatcher - Fort Rosecrans
I had an apparent Alder Flycatcher at about 7:45am this morning at the far
SE corner of FRNC. It wasn't very cooperative and I only got a good look
when it landed in some ice plants behind the fence for a few seconds.
Fortunately it was quite vocal for a few minutes; recordings are on ebird.

Hopefully it can be refound this evening. Be aware that there are a few
pewees of varying brightness, a couple Western Flycatchers, and apparently
a Hammond's Flycatcher all in the same vicinity.

Cheers,
Adrian Hinkle

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
