Just before the loud thunder claps that boomed around noon today, over 40 Blue Jays came streaming over my house.. N to S.. and landed in the trees at the edge of the yard. All seemed to be 'caling', maybe excited about the rain. I know I was! It was loud. 15 min. later, they had dispersed east, west and north, but none seeming to head south. Another migration moment.
