Just south of bridge. Flew out briefly giving loud hard chips ran across a stick in the water and back into the thicket. Large brown warbler with streaky chest and heavy supercilium."

Distinctive behavior and striking color pattern tipped me off. With better looks, I was able to study morphology and field marks. Was not able to get a photo. I know this species has been seen in mission creek for the last three years as a winter resident."

Olive back, mostly white underparts, dark line through the eye. Pointed out by Daniel Farrar."

- Comments: "Seen with several birders in north central (of Tech Park) parking area with several cherry trees. Bird looked similar to an OCWA, but close inspection and photos (diagnostic) displayed differences. Drab olive head blended down the back, very little contrast. Face showed prominent supercilium, dark eye line, and eye arcs. Breast and belly grayish with olive wash. Distinct white UnTC (differs from OCWA). Undertail white with black on outer edge and back. Diagnostic photos attached."

Yellow patches at sides of wings, all gray face, head and back. Fanning tail constantly while foraging."

- Comments: "Seen in western most parking lot of complex in Tipu's near Oxford building. Mostly seen and photographed from below. Only glimpses of upper parts. Small warbler with bluish/gray head and back. Broken eye arcs and black lore. Clear wing bars. Yellow throat and chest separated by prominent black breast band. White UnTC and under tail, with black tips. Diagnostic photos attached."
