It was one of my slowest mornings for passerines! Disappointing….
Had Maggie and bay breasted. Waxwings and a chestnut sided
Would be county birds! I think I am the only regular up there this year
Who doesn’t have waxwing………..
I switched over to other birds soon. The gallinule was a surprise. Called
From the east end of Cowan lake. The lotus area. Perfect habitat! But
I presume a migrant. I was up there a lot over the summer. No breeders.
That I could pick up on! I want to get to the other side of that lotus pond
Area. There’s a trail. That needs rubber boots - it’s been a muddy mess!
Maybe in a couple weeks. County bird! The gallinule. 191 for life. 172 for
The big year. I picked up Semipalm sandpiper at the Gleason rd pond.
Killdeer around. That was it!
Good birding all. We finally got rain down here!!! Cincinnati.
