Official Counter: Craig Jackson

Observers: Nina Shepardson

Visitors:
Among the many hikers, Bailey Fu, Mariya Vahanvaty, and Anand Kumar all
showed interest

Weather:
Light (2-1) N wind turning to light(2) SE at 11 AM; Temperature -- 12-17°
C; Cloud cover -- Totally clear sky at the beginning of the watch. Thin
clouds began forming on the Western horizon, and at 9:15 patchy cumulus
clouds started forming in the Northeast. Although the sky never got very
cloudy, until the wind shifted the sky was very unusual with thin cirrus
clouds in the western sky and cumulus clouds in the eastern half of the
sky.

Raptor Observations:
Only one definite migrant noted - an adult Bald Eagle
Non-migrating -- 3 TV (which showed up just as I was leaving, 1 OS, and 3
RT Hawks - 2 adults and an immature, which kept on flying at a Raven right
over the Rock

Non-raptor Observations:
Birds - 225 migrating DC Cormorants in 3 flocks (of 50, 25, and 150 birds),
1 Phoebe, 3 Ravens, and a flock of 20 Grackles
Dragonflies - 1 Unidentified that was migrating and one GD that did not
migrate

Predictions:
Easterly winds are not promising. I will not be on site as I will be going
to Mount Watatic with a friend.
