Weather:
Mostly sunny with a moderate N wind in the morning becoming clear with a
steady E wind in the afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
Steady trickle of birds on both sides of the ridge throughout the day.

For the last two and a half hours of the count thermal lift was absent and
birds were observed traveling towards the ridge, from both the north and
south valley, and continued to migrate using the limited amount of ridge
lift available. 2 Broad-wings deemed the woods behind the lookout as
suitable stopover habitat and plunged into the forest to roost.

A single group of 18 Blue Vulture was spotted lingering in Schuylkill
county early in the day.

Non-raptor Observations:
Monarchs 14

Canada Goose, Chimney Swift, Double-crested Cormorant, Blue-headed Vireo,
Blue Jay, Tree Swallow, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Red-breasted Nuthatch,
Swainson's Thrush, Purple Finch, Black-and-white, Tennessee, Nashville,
Cape May, Magnolia, Black-throated Blue and Green Warblers, Scarlet
Tanager, Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
