During the Somerset County fall count today, I saw 32 Black Skimmers on the roof of Handy Seafood in Crisfield. While I was very happy to spot them, it looked like only 6 were juveniles. We've had well over 100 skimmers in the past, with dozens of young birds, so the number seems very low. However, last year I didn't see any at all, so while the number of skimmers today was much lower than two years ago, it's a lot better than last year.Pat ValdataCrisfield, MDSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
