Mystery Bird: Jonna Rhuba posted some pictures of a mystery bird she saw on the roof. I have a number of bird books and from the look of the bird, I could not distinguish its order. So I checked thorough my bird books and the closest I could come from my book " The Birds of Costa Rica" was a Black-eared Wood-Quail ( Odontophorus melanotis). A render of its call could have been that given in her video. (Page 12 in that book.)
