For Friday, September 19th, this is Birdline Delaware from the Delaware Museum of Natural History in Greenville. This is Andy Ednie reporting, and a very special thanks to Carolyn Holland that filled in during my absence. The Birdline is sponsored by the Delaware Ornithological Society (DOS). Statements made on the Birdline do not necessarily reflect the views of the sponsors. The unofficial Delaware Annual list increased to 325 species this week.

New this week was a RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD visiting a yard in north Wilmington off Shipley Road. Unfortunately, this was a one-day wonder but there's lots of RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRDS coming to feeders right now. If you see an unusual hummer, please contact the Birdline.

Migration is underway with almost 3 million migrants last night and the forecast is for a big flight tonight on Bird Cast. Several CONNECTICUT WARBLERS were reported this week from First State National Historical Park-Brandywine Unit off Ramsey Road, Ashland Nature Center, Middle Run Natural Area near Newark, Bay Point at Summit Bridge, and at the Fire Truck Pond Woods in the Port Penn Impoundments in Augustine Wildlife Area.
