Mourning Warbler (Geothlypis philadelphia) (1)
- Reported Sep 18, 2025 12:25 by Spencer Seale
- Carpinteria Creek, Santa Barbara, California

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S274105329
- Media: 3 Photos
- Comments: "Initially I heard “chit"-like calls that caught my attention. I then observed a chunky warbler with an exceptionally short tail (missing?) foraging low in the fallen willow laid across the creek. The bird had a yellowish throat and bright yellow undertail coverts, with a faint pale supraloral wash. I observed partial eye arcs rather than a full eyering. The upperparts were olive/brownish; the underside was yellow; and the legs were pink. The bird was seen near the fallen willow between 6th and 8th street along the creek (roughly 34.39202, -119.51486), then it slipped back into the willow cover before I could get more views. These features match those of a first-year Mourning Warbler."

- 7402 - 7418 Hollister Ave (Tech Park), Santa Barbara, California

- Comments: "Continuing: Had good looks with binoculars this morning, though my photographs only came out soft and out of focus. Bird was actively foraging mid-canopy in trees, showing bluish-gray, bold white wingbars, and yellow throat. White eye arcs noticeable. Movement was quick and active among leaves. (34.4301222, -119.8931232). Out of focus photos to come."

Northern Parula (Setophaga americana) (2) CONFIRMED
- Reported Sep 13, 2025 10:21 by Libby Patten
- 7402 - 7418 Hollister Ave (Tech Park), Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.8908561&<ll...>,-119.8908561
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S274143187
- Comments: "Got decent views of both individuals. Blue-gray back, bold white wingbars, yellow throat and breast. Could see that dark breast band was lighter in one of hirds. Seen and photographed by several birders while I was there, including John Callender. In tipus trees in west parking lot. My camera lens jammed so didn’t get any usable photos."
