My first White-crowned Sparrow of the year today prompted me to look at my records. For this house on 13th St in Los Osos, which started in 1997, the earliest arrival date was September 11, with most records landing in the dates of 9/21-9/23, and the latest arrival of 9/28, in those 28 years.
Of course, those dates are when I saw the birds, not necessarily when they first showed up.
