Yesterday, Leonie and I visited the Cypress Lawn Cemetery and the adjacent Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. A list of migrants from both cemeteries are a Tennessee Warbler at CypressLawn and another at Holy Cross, Orange-crowned Warbler ( 1 ), Yellow Warbler ( 57 ), Townsend's Warbler ( 3 ), the first I have noted this fall Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warbler, WesternTanager ( 21 ) and a Black-headed Grosbeak. The White-breasted Nuthatch, I first noted at Cypress Lawn on the 7th was still present. A number of wandering White-breasted Nuthatcheshave been noted at unexpected locations in the Bay Area. First arrivals I have noted along the bayside are Say' Phoebe at Redwood Shores 15th, ( 8 ) Puget White-crowned Sparrowsat Coyote Point 16th and a Lincoln's Sparrow today in Redwood Shores.
