Subject: [cobirds] Chico Basin Ranch Banding Station- Bird Conservancy of the Rockies-9/18/2025
What a bunch of storms last night! Not many birds stopped by the banding
station this morning. The Ruby-throated Hummingbird was still around
though. A Winter Wren was a new species for the season. If not for Wilson's
Warblers, there would not be many birds to report.
*24 New Banded Birds*
Wilson's Warbler- 12
Orange-crowned Warbler-5
Northern House Wren- 1
Winter Wren- 1
Hermit Thrush- 3
Western Tanager- 1
Green-tailed Towhee-1

*1 Hermit Thrush Recapture from yesterday*

The banding station will be open 2 sunrise until noonish tomorrow. If
wanting to bird or visit the ranch please sign up on the Aiken Audubon
website. *www.aikenaudubon.com* <http://www.aikenaudubon.com>
Hoping for a better migration day at Chico and Barr Lake.
All the best,

Julie Shieldcastle
