Subject: [CT Birds] Chestnut Hill Hawk Watch - Northern Harriers
Been slow at the Chestnut hawk Watch over the last few days. Things picked up a bit yesterday (13 Sept) with three Bald Eagles and 2 Northern Harriers. We rarely get Northern Harrier at the hawk watch. No big movement of Broad-winged Hawks yet, still to early for them with climate change moving their migration until later in September. Unfortunately no big cold front predicted this week. We do need the rain. One can few hawk migration at hawk watch sites at the Hawk Migration Association's web site hawkcount.org
