Weather: Sunny and calm with temperatures in the fifties and sixties.
Raptor Observations: Broad-wing migration started early today, with the highest numbers observed in the morning. Sharpies were the second most abundant migrant. Also migrating were a dozen kestrels; small handfuls of eagles, harriers, Cooper's, and Ospreys; and a couple of Merlins and Red-shouldered Hawks.
Non-raptor Observations: Other birds on the wing included a Great-blue Heron and 41 ravens. Several warbler species stopped by including Yellow-rumped Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, Nashville Warbler, and Northern Parula. The pair of towhees came nearby and a couple of Red Crossbills flew by late in the day. Ruby-throated Hummingbirds: 5/52 Monarchs: 41/156
Predictions: Similar weather conditions expected, with perhaps more clouds and a breeze from the west.
