Subject: Re: SCBIRDCL DIGEST. re:RAW BEEF SUET
I go to Weis out here in central Bucks Co. Last winter I asked the butcher there if they had any and he said he would save me some. I picked it up the next day. I know some local butchers also have had it in the past.
This reminds me of when I was working for the Conservation District, years ago, and had to visit a farm in upper Bucks. It was a cold winter day and when I parked my vehicle near the house I saw a HUGE piece of suet hanging by ropes from their grape arbor. It was the size of a large side of beef. Chickadees were all over it!

She then went on to receive her master’s studying the nesting behavior of broad-winged hawks then immediately pursued her Ph.D. studying the winter ecology of snowy owls. Rebecca joined Hawk Mountain staff full time in 2021, serving as one of the Sanctuary's research biologists. Her research focuses broadly on movement and nesting ecology, and she is involved with Hawk Mountain's numerous long-term projects including the fall migration count, American kestrel, broad-winged hawk and snowy owl research. She also serves as a mentor to trainees and assists in all areas of conservation science outreach and research.
