The warblers passing through have been a real treat, even though I'm unable to identify some of them.  Tennessee and Black-throated Greens have been the most plentiful.  Because they all come to the birdbaths, I can get a good look and also photograph them.

One surprise visitor was a yellow bird that turned out to be a Wilson's Warbler.  Both iNaturalist and Merlin identified it as such, but I was not convinced until it was confirmed by a good local birder.

We are getting much needed rain.  The hummingbirds sure seem to enjoy it.  Yesterday, they were zipping around me, flaring their tail and exposing the white band.  So pretty.

While waiting for the warblers to show up, it was an opportunity to observe our everyday birds in detail.  The Robin's breast feather pattern resemble those of the Pileated, rounded fishscale.    Goldfinches are showing up in a variety of plumage, some males still displaying their black cap.

The lone Housewren still here, rather than using the birdbaths, preferred to use the waterfilled dip in the rock base that the pedestal birdbath is standing on.  Other birds use that "nature made" feature as well.  Another surprise was seeing a Red-breasted Nuthatch join a Black-throated Green in this watering hole.  Luckily, I got photos  of this dynamic duo.
