Subject: Re: [cayugabirds-l] Racing Pigeon encounter
Funny, I’ve had a wayward banded pigeon come by my place in Geneva every day this week. It munches on the feed I put out then goes about its day and then returns for breakfast. I got a picture but couldn’t get close enough to read the numbers on the band to report it. Not quite sure what else to do.

On Sunday a pigeon perched here and we took photos of the band. Today we found that it was from Oklahoma City and telephone messages are full.
Is there a Pigeon racer nearby that could get this bird for their fellow racer until he is found and the bird returned or whatever they do? It doesn't respond to our attempts to feed it but is very approachable.
