Weather: Rain moving in from a storm approaching from the south. A few migrants before steady drizzle paused the count for an hour. On and off showers for a few hours afterwards. Light northeast winds that strengthened and became easterly at the end of the count. Damp and chilly.
Raptor Observations: Decent migration considering the conditions. Most migrants were species that don't rely on thermals including two harriers, 19 sharpies, 6 kestrels, and a merlin. A few ospreys and bald eagles as well.
New species for season: Palm Warbler, Scarlet Tanager
Predictions: Tomorrow: Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. High 68F. Winds NE at 10-15mph. Similar to today. The amount of migration will depend on how rainy and gloomy it is.
Thursday: Chance of a morning shower. Intervals of clouds and sun. High near 80F. Winds NNW at 5-10mph. Could be decent conditions once it clears up.
Friday: Mainly sunny. High around 85F. Winds NNW at 5-10mph.
