We had a great trip this morning to Spring Valley at Ed Levin County Park. Right away, we were treated to great views of three white-tailed kites including one juvenile. They posed for us in the dead tree just south of the pond. We even got to see an acorn woodpecker chasing one away. We saw 35 different species altogether and some of the highlights were a Hutton’s Vireo, a Western Tanager, a Yellow Warbler, a Downy Woodpecker, lots of Wild Turkeys and others.
It was just so much fun to look for all these birds together and everybody helped each other and what a great group of bird lovers we had! Thank you to those who posted pictures here is the EBird list.
