Hi John and Dan,
I have yet to see one this season, but Jim Rowoth saw a few yesterday on
his monthly River Walk bird survey at the Cosumnes River Preserve. So far
as I know, these were the first seen at the preserve this fall.
We're still waiting on the sandhill cranes, too.
