I managed to get to Spring Valley at 8:00. That’s good for me
Considering it’s an hour away! I did the west area. The sun was
Warming things up nicely. I had stuff basically all along the trail,
Not just a few flocks here and there. And I know I missed stuff -
Nothing like a couple warblers at 50 yards or so…..I think lots
Here, just lots of habitat for the birds to spread out and feed in.
Good for them! Bad for me!
I picked up 6 big year birds - BH Vireo, Phila Vireo, RB nuthatch,
Swainsons thrush, Maggie and Wilson’s Warblers.
Three of those were county birds - Phila. vireo, Swainsons thrush, and
The Wilson’s warbler. 207 for life in Warren. Nice! 164 for the big year.
Poor……
Nice to hear most of the Vireos singing! They must think it’s spring again!
I am striking out with finding shorebirds. Who knew this would be the year
Spring Valley was not drawn down???
Tuesday and Wed are Clinton county. I haven’t decided where yet. Unless
The winds shift, I might go looking for odes. Ringtails.
Good birding all.
